A sample shot I made with the Nikon V1, Nikon's latest contribution to the mirrorless cameras. This feature is unique to Nikon, called the motion snapshot, where the camera recors a few milliseconds of motion before and after the actual shot. and it gives it background music too!
the phaelenopsis shot from up front. it is a white flower but tinges of pink and blue are noticeable at this close up front shot.
another shot of the orchid from above, i used a bigger aperture this time to soften that bokeh.
new flowers from this plant. it has been more than a year since this orchid bloomed. thought of taking the shot with a different angle and lighting.
This crucifix is the altar of the Sagrad Familia. I think that Christ is wrapped in plastic here because of the ongoing work inside the church - to prevent it from getting damaged. I would want to see it again when the church is finally finished!
reality is surreal when using infrared-converted cameras. ordinary shots, like this view from our porch can be quite a curiosity with this camera.

took this shot early morning before going to work. they look like sampaguita but really they are not. does anyone know what this flower is? the blooms are fragrant too, the open blooms you can see in previous shots. is this the kamuning flower?

the adenium flower in our veranda...it's has been a while since i have shot its blooms. the vibrant fuschia brings a splash of color to my mornings!
and no, i am not talking about your hair haha! talking about the bokeh of the 105f2.8VR, of course. have not shot with this lens in a long time and i have missed that smooth, soft bokeh it produces...got to do macro shots again more often!

today is the 25th anniversary of people power, when the Filipinos stood up for democracy and peaceful revolution. the sunset today was amazing, those rays forming a crown over the dark clouds surely demonstrate the glorious feeling of freedom won! used an infrared camera with this shot, and it surely showed a different view of the manila bay.
