one more gerbera textured. i think i am beginning to get the hang of it. have not been able to take new photos lately. it has been raining almost daily nowadays. these new textures are quite helpful in giving new life to my old shots, though. hope you like it.

code of morality
this is the inside of the jefferson memorial in DC. one good thing about this new technique is that i am able to present otherwise boring shots in a new light, these ones that i have been texturing are actually rejects from my DC trip and nopw i think i like them more than my previous DC shots!
the labyrinth
this is the inside of that building near the post office in DC. added the texture and made it look ancient.
thanks my friends for your visits and comments. and it feels great that you like this new style i am trying. don't worry, you will still see sunsets and gerberas! lol!
just got an iphone today and that phone rocks! wow! loving it and too busy tinkering with my new toy i am now still up past midnight and have not even visited...
will go get some sleep now and catch up in the morning...good night!

ok so now i am hooked...
...on textures, that is! lolol!!! they are giving my old shots a really interesting look and i can't stop "texturing"! this could be a new word for the american dictionay next to "texting" ahahaha!!!
i have started putting a signature on my photos too, if you have not noticed. a little inconspicuous a small, scribbled one on the right lower corner.
part of my DC shots, this view of the lincoln memorial is from the tidal basin. hope you like it!!!

classical tune
i have a lot of architectural shots from DC, and they are just bland as is. with these new textures i am pleased to post them. gives these old buildings the look the classic look they truly deserve.
i need an id on this building. i think it is across the old post office. anybody?

by any other name...
as they say, would smell as sweet. such is the phenomenon of the rose. so many varieties and colors and each one as beautiful as the other.
found this beauty of a specimen at the botanical gardens in DC during my last trip there. i can't believe i am still uploading photos from my last trip. i still have a lot more to process so near with me.

remembering summer
we call this the "calachuchi". it is actually a tree, and this is taken from a small tree in my garden. they remind e of summer, although they bloom all year round around here. it has been raining these past few days, and i wanted to post something with a summery feel.

in case you've forgotten..it's a free gift you know...
sometimes we take for granted the free gifts that are given us. have you heard of the story fo a child who was asked what the seven wonders of the world are? he answered - to see, to hear, to speak, to touch, to feel, to love and to live.
happy day my friends! it is almost sleeping time here in manila, so i leave you with a wonderful sunset to brighten the rest of your day!

high and mighty
remember the line "from little acorns grow mighty oaks"? it is really a wonder that these huge beautiful works of nature were once tiny seeds. this is a tree near the white house during my last visit to DC. light coming from lamps on the street.
yesterday was really tight and was not able to post nor visit but will catch up later tonight. have a great day/night my friends! i am off to work!

unfurling
one more for my verdant series. this fern is quite different it lives on trunks of large trees and has a modified leaf that is brown in color that serves as its receptacle for containing moisture around its roots.

Asian Hospital and Medical Center
this is the lobby of the asian hospital, one of my places of work! it is really quite a modern hospital and one of the best here in manila. i thought i would give my new lens a test drive here and at the same time show you my workplace!
guess what my new lens is??? the sigma 10-20, like my master valpopando! it is quite awesome, the widest of all the available for nikon. i love it!

unending praise
at the end of the day, what matters is if you have done good. it is morning here but i know for some of you the day has just passed by. sing praises for your blessings and pray that tomorrow will be more blessed!
oh heart of mine...
he first of my white collection. not quite sure what this is but this is the second time i have photographed these blooms. they are really quite small, just about the size of quarters in diameter.
white is quite challenging to shoot in terms of exposure and making sure i don't blow out the highlights and yet get enough light to bring out the details.

a whisper of hope
just had dinner with a few friends at home. it was a friend's birthday and i offered to cook dinner. it was a blast!
it was quite hot again today. the weather in this part of the world is getting wierder and wierder. we should already be having more rain by this time.
have a happy day my friends! may each day be better than the last...

moment to moment
From moment to moment every moment that I live
I live for every moment with you
To see you, to touch you, to imagine this will be
The moment when a dream comes true
Just an ordinary day becomes adventure
Such sweet adventure I never knew
And life will be rainbows as I learn the secret of
The miracle that love can do
From moment to moment with you
And life will be rainbows as I learn the secret of
The miracle that love can do
From moment to moment with you
I live for every moment with you
