The Torre Agbar is a 38-story tower located between Diagonal and Carrer Badajoz, near Plaça de les Glòries Catalanes, which marks the gateway to the new technological district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It was designed by French architect Jean Nouvel.
According to Jean Nouvel, the shape of the Torre Agbar was inspired by Montserrat, a mountain near Barcelona, and by the shape of a geyser rising into the air.

Sagrada Familia de Gaudi
Probably the highlight of a trip to Barcelona is this majestic masterpiece of Antonio Gaudi, started in 1882 and is expected to finish by 2017! I remember visiting this place ages ago when i was a teenager. and I have forgotten how formidable the structure is! What a genius Gaudi is to think of all the fine, eccentric details.

time and tide
“Too many times we stand aside and let the waters slip away, till what we put off till tomorrow has now become today. So don't you sit upon the shoreline and say you're satisfied. Choose to chance the rapids and dare to dance the tide.”

“When the morning's freshness has been replaced by the weariness of midday, when the leg muscles give under the strain, the climb seems endless, and suddenly nothing will go quite as you wish-it is then that you must not hesitate.”

dreams
“The best thing about dreams is that fleeting moment, when you are between asleep and awake, when you don't know the difference between reality and fantasy, when for just that one moment you feel with your entire soul that the dream is reality, and it really happened.”

special gift
“Everyone has their own special gift. In some it is speech, in some, silence. The world has need of small perfection as well as great achievements.”
excellence is when you...
...care more than others think is wise;
...risk more than others think is safe;
...dream more than others think is practical;
...expect more than others think is possible.

“What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity. These are but trifles, to be sure; but scattered along life's pathway, the good they do is inconceivable.” --- Joseph Addison

10-10-10
I thought it was an auspicious date to inaugurate my new clinic at St. Luke's Medical Center at Global City, just in time for the anniversary of the hospital's ground-breaking next week.
Used my new Nikon D3s with the monster of a lens, the 14-24F2.8, I thought the black and white treatment emphasized the architectural details of this wonderful design by a good friend, Architect Dan Lichauco.
I used my photgraphs to decorate the walls. I love the gallery-like feel one gets when entering it. You'll never know, someone might buy my photos too!
