Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport

You should see this amazing airport! This is Bangkok's new airport, about 25 km east of the city. Pronounced su-wan-na-poom, the name was chosen by King Bhumibol Adulyadej and refers to the ancient kingdom thought to have been located somewhere in Southeast Asia.

Designed by Helmut Jahn, this airport has the world's tallest control tower, and the world's second largest single building and airport terminal, just a little smaller than Hong Kong International Airport but larger than South Korea's Incheon International Airport.

Aside from these feats, the airport boasts of an ultramodern tent and glass design that is sure to fascinate every air traveler.
