pantalan revisited
from the archives again, different way of looking at this shot. this is the view of the manila bay sunset from the pantalan (meaning: pier), a restaurant with fantastic fresh seafood. you choose the freshest of live fish and have them cooked right there! truly an amazing experience.

Another one of my photos SOLD!
Dear Tony,
Hi there - I really love your photos... I work for the UK Biochemical Society and have been searching for some biology images. I came across yours actually... from your Verdant set, this fern one specifically
www.flickr.com/photos/doctony/434906460/
It's beautiful.
I was wondering if I would be allowed to use it for a poster and email to promote a series of Biology lectures and events at the BA Festival of Science in September? www.the-ba.net/festivalofscience
I am organising the Biology Section of the Festival. I've managed to pull in a lot of other Societies like mine to work together to do a public programme (mostly for free) for schools and keen people.
We wouldn't use the image in other other sense other than a poster and on an HTML email. What do you think? It would be great if this was ok and you could mail me a large file copy of it. hannah.baker@biochemistry.org
Many thanks in advance.

happy birthday jose rizal!
Dr. José P. Rizal (full name: José Protasio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda) (June 19, 1861 – December 30, 1896) was a Filipino polymath, nationalist and the most prominent advocate for reforms in the Philippines during the Spanish colonial era. He is considered the national hero and the anniversary of Rizal's death is commemorated as a Philippine holiday called Rizal Day. Rizal's 1896 military trial and execution made him a martyr of the Philippine Revolution.

dragon's heartbeat
A dragon boat is a very long and narrow human-powered boat used in the team paddling sport or dragon boat racing which originated in the country of China.
This is the drummer or caller who may be considered the "heartbeat" of the dragon boat, and leads the crew throughout a race with the rhythmic beating of a drum to indicate the timing and frequency of paddling strokes.

tikamn mo: ang sarap dito
photo taken by kuron when he went to boracay. pp by me (although it did not really need much pp).
the whole week was gloomy and there were dark clouds most of the time. it was a good thing the sunlight peeked through the darkness that afternoon and created this magnificent view.
