When the Sun goes down Monday evening, step outside to watch the best sky show of the year. Jupiter, Venus and Moon - three of the brightest objects up there at night - will be closest to each other then.
Jupiter and Venus have been rapidly coming towards each other for the last few days, a phenomenon that will not be visible against till 2012. And soon they will have the Moon for company.
The celestial triangle will be visible from all parts of the world, even from lightly polluted cities.

a gerbera moment
what a better way to shoot the gerbera again than using my new D-Lux 4! just loving this camera and it is never leaving my side wherever i go. very handy and pretty and it takes awesome photos too!

the other side of the salzburg lake, this time at the place where mozart's mother lived. amazng clarity of the water and no trash!!! it is really admirable how people in salzburg can preserve this place as it is.

this looks less exposed in flickr, but i do love the D3 and the 14-24! took this shot with no filter and as you can see, it did not overexpose the sky and even preserved some detail in the shadows. of course, i got the flare...

a beautiful lake in salzburg, austria. pristine waters and trees starting to turn the autumn colors...what else could hyou ask for? perhaps a picnic basket of the best austrian boiled beef with sauerkraut! oh and don't forget a slice of sacher torte!
