the passion of christ
Good Friday, the Friday within Holy Week, is traditionally a time of fasting and penance, commemorating the anniversary of Christ's crucifixion and death. Good Friday worship services begin in the afternoon at 12 noon till 3:00 (the time Jesus likely died), where the seven last words of Christ are remembered. After 3 pm of Friday the churches are closed, to open again on Easter Sunday.
